FAQ
-
Can I still get some sun/color with a spray tan?
Yes! A spray tan does not act as sun protectant. We recommend applying an oil free sunscreen (lotion only, no aerosol sprays) regularly to protect your skin & keep your tan hydrated.
-
Where do you set up your mobile services?
We can set up our tent & equipment almost anywhere. We need access to an electrical outlet and enough space for the popup tent. Bedroom, bathroom, garage, kitchen, family room, or outside if the weather permits.
-
How long is each appointment?
A mobile spray tan is about 40-50 minutes, including set up and clean up of equipment.
-
Can I wear deodorant the day of my tan?
Deodorants that contain aluminum can react to the DHA in the solution and may cause the skin where the residue is to turn green. We recommend not using deodorant 24 hours before AND after your appointment. If you MUST wear deodorants the day of, use a wipe to remove the residue 3-4 hours prior to your appointment.
-
Can I get a spray tan when I have a sunburn?
No! A spray tan applied over a sunburn will cause the tan to apply blotchy and uneven. When the sunburn peels, the spray tan will peel with it - not a good look! Sun damage on your skin within 30 days of your spray tan can cause uneven fading/peeling. Wear your SPF ladies, and wear it often!!
-
Will my spray tan transfer onto my wedding dress?
When the cosmetic bronzer from your spray tan is not fully rinsed off, color transfer can occur. To prevent this, shower with soap 24 hours after your appointment and once more before wearing your wedding dress.
-
Will my tan be orange and/or streaky?
This is often a worry we hear, but no fear - the solution we use is the best of the best and we will match the proper color solution with your skin tone/tan goals to keep you bronze, but not orange! Streaks can occur when you take a hot shower as your first rinse or if you put on tight clothes after your appointment.
